Rent Baby Gear INCLUDING Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat

Some of the covers are mesh in the seating area and my experience with mesh is that crumbs can be ground into those little holes and never see the light of day again, so stay on top of the snacks. The cover can be washed in the washing machine on cold and air-dried. Once the cupholders are clicked into place graco turbobooster correctly, they can’t easily be removed! Here’s the view from the vehicle seat right in front of this installation. Note that there’s still quite a bit of space between this adult passenger’s legs and the dashboard. Once they’re clicked into place correctly, they can’t easily be removed! Height/weight limits are pretty good too, though my guy is in the 30-40% range and not a huge fella. The 3 in 1 is easier to use than the standard model which has some angle restrictions that can make it difficult to impossible to use in some forward facing setups. Graco makes a number of additional all-in-one seats, including the Graco SlimFit 3-in-1, the Graco SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1, and the Graco Milestone 3-in-1.

It has many of the qualities we like about the Extend2Fit Convertible, such as easy installation and an extendable footrest (which adds legroom to help keep your child comfy in the rear-facing position longer). Plus, the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 converts into a high-back booster seat. We still think a dedicated convertible seat is the way to go for most families, as we’ve previously explained. We particularly love the roominess that the Foonf affords a child.

For the rear-facing install, we think the car’s seat belt is a better choice than the LATCH method because it will save you from making the switch in the not-so-distant future. (And both methods require about the same amount of effort.) The Foonf can only be used rear-facing graco turbobooster with LATCH for babies who weigh up to 25 pounds; about half of all babies will reach that weight by 12 months. To begin the process, first you’ll remove the seat cushion and set it aside; it comes off entirely, allowing access to the inner workings of the seat.

When you switch the Extend2Fit Convertible from rear-facing to forward-facing, you’ll have to take the seat cover off to reroute the LATCH straps; it’s a bit of a nuisance, but hopefully a rare one. We knew from our expert interviews that proper installation is generally a far bigger problem (PDF) than actual seat safety. So we also considered the NHTSA ease-of-use ratings, which score seats on a scale of one to five stars, based on factors like how simple the seats are to install and the clarity of their instructions.

We worry parents will put off adjusting the harness with the rethread style when needed because it requires an empty seat and more effort. Since injuries can occur when a harness isn’t adjusted to fit correctly, we prefer non-rethread assemblies. The Baby Jogger City Turn and the Graco SlimFit 3-in-1 are the easiest options to adjust in the group. The Clek Fllo, Clek Foonf, Diono Radian graco car seat 3RXT Safe+, and the Evenflo Tribute 5 all require rethreading of the straps. This design, in our minds, is acceptable for an inexpensive option like the Tribute 5 but is less palatable on seats like the Cleks that have a higher premium price. Top-performing seats for LATCH installation include those with push-style connectors, easy-to-pull straps, and often lock-off mechanisms.

I would also care to note that 48 inches tall is the average 7 year old girl, not 6. The 6 year old doll is tall for her age, and still had room to grow. At this age, the boys are the same percentile with 48 inches being the 90% boy at 6 years old. Since the panel can increase the Extend2Fit’s footprint quite a bit, Graco allows 20% front to back overhang.

The grippy sides of the neck pad allow the straps to stay in place as you’re adjusting them. Our tester wasn’t thrilled with the large and bulky size of the chest buckle, noting that they felt they might leave their child feeling uncomfortable if they had to pull it out from underneath them. While the rotating feature of this car seat is definitely one of its biggest advantages, it also means the seat is a bit bulkier than some other options. Our tester felt that it couldn’t be used right next to another car seat and also found that because it fit a bit snug, it wasn’t possible to rotate the seat with just one hand. The price point is also on the higher side, although we did feel that between the safety features, the rotation, and the overall comfort and quality of the seat, it was worth the extra cost.
