If you’ve got pets in your home, you’ll need a reliable vacuum to keep pace with the amount of hair that likely gets shed everywhere. It features a MultiFLEX design that allows you to bend it at the shaft’s midpoint to hit those hard-to-reach areas like under furniture, while also allowing you to save space when storing it away. Cordless vacuums use less electricity than traditional vacuum cleaners, since they have smaller motors and only draw power when they’re recharging. (Admittedly robot vacuum cleaners use even less, but those remain a niche proposition.) If you need a vacuum for pet hair removal, especially from sofas and beds, a light and handy cordless makes a lot of sense.
It impressed us with how easily it maneuvers around obstacles like table legs and how it fits perfectly on a stair tread for speedy side-to-side cleaning. It has powerful suction and whole-machine filtration to trap at least 99.7% of dust and allergens. It’s shark pet vacuum got tons of upscale extras like two power nozzles, an extending crevice tool and a pedal that you press to snip hair wrapped around the roller brush to prevent tangles in your vacuum. You have the option to store the tools on the vacuum or the stand.
For that reason, we’d highly recommend this for elderly people or those with limited mobility. Our only slight grumble is that you do have to press the trigger constantly while vacuuming, which gets a bit tedious. But the smug satisfaction of knowing your house is scientifically sparkling makes it totally worth it. It didn’t suck up larger particles quite as well as some of the most expensive models, but getting two batteries for this price means we’re prepared to overlook the occasional stray Bran Flake.
The Tineco Pure One S11 was our previous top pick, and we still think it’s a decent stick vacuum. We also tested the new Tineco Pure One S15 Pet and the Tineco Pure One Air, its lighter, shark handheld vacuum less powerful cousin, but both models allowed heavier debris to drop back out when we shut them off.
