Shark’s Pet Plus cordless stick vacuum with a flexible shaft tackles pet hair for return $230 low

When you’re done, there’s an easy-release button for the pad, so you don’t have to touch the mess you picked up. If we could wave a wand, we’d make it so you didn’t have to hold down the power switch while it’s in use. After six months of usage, the battery life has also depleted a tad, but the overall convenience is still definitely there. Few things are as satisfying as aiming a handheld vacuum at a mess of crumbs and zapping it all up in seconds, and the Shark UltraCyclone Pro Handheld Vacuum is as easy as it gets. You will need to cut hair out of the brush roll (that bristled piece in the head of your vacuum that loosens dirt and grime when the vacuum is in use) here and there. A self-cleaning brush roll is offered on some of our other favorite vacuums (like the Shark AZ1002 Apex), but it’s not a deal breaker for us that it’s missing from this one.

Loaded with tools shown, 2-year warranty, industries best Amtek motor, HEPA filtration, an amazing 120 in. “When the floor looks dirty” I hear you cry, but to keep your home allergen-free and your floors as clean as possible, you’ll need to vacuum more regularly shark pet vacuum than this. The Shark Stratos Cordless with Clean Sense IQ IZ862H has Shark’s Clean Sense IQ technology. That lets it automatically adjust the suction to pick up dirt and debris that you may not be able to see and tells you when the floor is clean.

It comes with a floor nozzle, scrubbing brush and crevice tool, plus there’s a docking station that keeps everything charged up and in place when you aren’t using it — no more misplacing your vac’s accessories. And as I side note, both Sharks have lights on the vacuum heads that help illuminate dirt and dust which is a feature I really like that the Dyson v10 and v11 don’t have. The Dyson v15 have a similar feature to the Sharks but it’s a bit more advanced with a laser that illuminates unseen dust and debris. I also like that the Dyson v15 and Dyson v10 Absolute have a fluffy roller head that gives them a leg-up for cleaning on hardwood floors and is gentler on them too.

It packs many features for the price, with an automatic power adjustment system, an odor-neutralization cartridge, an onboard HEPA filter, and a self-cleaning floorhead. That said, battery life is rather unimpressive compared to many of its peers, and its attachment set is somewhat limited. Shark currently offers a variety of different vacuum styles, including upright, canister, cordless stick, handheld, and robot models. Each type has its own benefits and drawbacks, so you’ll want to consider which type will work best for your lifestyle. For instance, upright and canister models typically offer more suction power, while stick and handheld options are lightweight and portable. Robot vacuums are autonomous, offering hands-free cleaning on a set schedule, but they don’t deliver the same level of cleaning as a full-size vacuum.

Accessories – To get the most bang for your buck, and the most use out of your vacuum, look for a model that comes complete with accessories, including various dusting brushes, crevice tools, pet turbine tool and more. Weight – The larger the weight of your cordless vacuum, the more force is required to push and pull the vacuum while cleaning – so, look for as lightweight a model as possible. Not only is this clever, life-simplifying vacuum from Tineco a joy to look at (with its matte white detailing), the power is a dream.

Because this is a Shark it’s packed with familiar features such as a flexible wand and an anti hair wrap brush roll – things which are genuinely useful to have on a vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately, the size and unique design didn’t quite translate to more cleaning power and the FloorMate Deluxe somehow felt like too much and not enough for my cleaning up everyday messes in my house. It struggled to collect small debris from the textured kitchen floor and couldn’t get into corners at all. Mop vac runtime varies from 20 minutes to about 40, and I wanted one that could clean all of the exposed hard flooring on the main level of my (admittedly small) house. More efficient mop vacs could clean my floors on a single pass and with those machines, battery life was less of an issue.

We also appreciated its decent battery life, though you probably won’t be able to cover a large space on a single charge. Yes, the iRobot Roomba Combo J7 Plus is very expensive, especially since it comes with a self-emptying base station and mopping ability. But, those additions are also part of what makes this high-end model from iRobot so great.

I haven’t used the Eco mode much, but the Detect mode has impressed me a lot! It immediately registers dirt on the floor that the naked eye can’t see and my floors have never looked better. I especially love that I can take it from the carpet of my living room to the hard flooring of my dining area without a hassle. The vacuum also fits under low furniture, such as the bottom shelf of my console table where dog hair often gets trapped, which is a must for any vacuum I own. The vacuum’s dock has a tall silhouette that makes it more small space-friendly than other self-emptying devices.

Cordless stick vacuums are popular cleaning tools for smaller homes or supplemental cleaning, and while Shark offers a few different models, our favorite was the Shark Vertex DuoClean. This battery-powered vacuum excelled in our testing, picking up a wide range of debris with ease thanks to its powerful suction. Plus, we found that the vacuum was extremely easy to maneuver, practically driving itself across the floor. This convertible hand-and-stick shark stick vacuum vacuum from Shark is a great option for anyone looking for a lightweight, easy-to-store vacuum with powerful suction and convenient technological features that streamline cleaning. The CRAFTSMAN® V20 cordless stick vacuum provides strong suction power for those who take pride in and around the home. With up to 45 CFM and up to 1 hour of runtime, you can tackle clean up in the mudroom, indoor/outdoor spaces and around the house.
