So far, I’ve only ridden it around the driveway and already hate the terrible twist shifter. The stock seat/torture device was replaced with an XL wide seat before it was even assembled. I received my test bike directly from Mongoose and needed to do some of the final assembly myself.
As far as I can tell, the Malus and Dolomite are essentially the same bike, just with different rims and colors. I have been looking at high rise handlebars or bar risers to help with the riding position. There is a low level shimano hydraulic disc brake kit that is SO NICE compared to the cable disc brakes. It doesn’t matter what you’re riding – cargo bikes or gravel – Mongoose has all the bikes you need to get where you need to go.
The key part is to be gentle with the bike; don’t jump it off curbs, etc. and it’s more likely to last.
