The front and hip straps make it very comfortable and takes alot of the pressure of your shoulders and back. A thru-hike can begin at the Onondaga State Park and proceed southward to the Eleven Point Western trailhead, or move in the opposite direction from south to north. Because it’s basically a single compartment stuff bag, I did have to make sure the items inside were distributed properly. I have used the hydration compartment for items like my iPad. The 26-mile route follows Blair Creek south as it carves down a valley through oak-hickory-pine forest before merging with the emerald waters of the Current River. This pack fits me fine and is very comfortable for lightweight loads. It’s light enough that I don’t mind putting ozark trail chair it in my backpack and it takes up almost no space at all. And on summit day, I sure am glad I have a daypack!
