This versatile and convenient canopy adds a touch of elegance to any backyard gathering, tailgate, or camping trip. With its built-in LED-lit poles, it’s the perfect choice for evening events, providing ample light even when the sun has set. The canopy itself is made of high-quality nylon material that offers 50+ UV protection, ensuring that you and your friends or family stay safe and comfortable under the sun. Campout or backyard party more enjoyable with the Ozark Trail Simple Push Straight Leg Instant Canopy.

The canopy fabric is made of a lightweight denier polyester, offering water resistant features and 50+ UPF, which we love. Being protected from the suns harmful UVB rays is probably why you wanted a canopy tent in the first place, and this Ozark Trail tent meets all criteria in this department. The one complaint we have is that there is no vents in the fabric at the peak to release the build up of hot air under the canopy. Most new tents incorporate this ventilated canopy design to increase airflow and reduce the trapping of hot air, helping to keep those in the shade cooler and more comfortable.

It’s natural to focus on the quality of a tent’s rain fly—you need that piece to work when the skies open up. But according to our experts, the durability of the floor of your tent is actually more important. If the tent you buy doesn’t come with a footprint (two of our recommended tents, the Mountain Hardwear Mineral King 3 and the Marmot Tungsten 4, do), we recommend purchasing a companion footprint, if one is available. A footprint doesn’t take up much space, is relatively inexpensive, and is much easier to repair or replace than a tent bottom if it tears.

These features provide a more durable structure that can tolerate harsh environments, including rain and strong winds. Additionally, invest in a canopy with a sturdy ground stake for stability and a strong tensioning system to keep it secure during use. Setting up and taking down the Ozark Trail canopy is a breeze, thanks to innovative technology that allows it to transition seamlessly between high, medium, and low-light settings.

One of the standout features of this tent is its versatility in terms of compatibility with various canopy options. It can be connected to both straight-leg and slant-leg 10×10 canopies, making it an ideal choice for group camping adventures or family outings. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Ozark Trail 10′ x 10′ Instant Tailgate Canopy at a family gathering. The setup process was quite impressive — it only took a few minutes to extend the one-piece steel frame, attach the canopy top, and extend the legs. I recently gave the Ozark Trail Slant-leg Canopy Accessory Pack a try, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer for all my outdoor activities. The mesh screen walls attached seamlessly to my 10 ft. x 10 ft. canopy, providing a bug-free environment for me and my family to enjoy.
