In any case, I have included this tent in my list of tents with a screen room. The picture below shows how the tent is divided in two parts, the rooms are the same size, around 7 x 10 ft each. It rained for about an hour while I was using this Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent, with about 20 minutes of moderate rainfall and about 40 minutes of pretty light rain. I think this is great for stargazing at night, or to look out during the day as well, and it’s also useful for more ventilation on hot summer days. Oh, and the poles are also starting to show signs of rust, which isn’t good. The 6-Person Dark Rest Instant Tent comes with a removable pocket organizer, and it’s supposed to be hung up on the back wall (the wall that doesn’t have a window). And on the outside of the tent, the rain flap from the outside will always get caught in the zipper track. First, it’s not very big, it has a length and width of just 46 by 36 inches.
There is also a removable media pocket (shown below), and a large removable organizer with many pockets which you can hang on the wall without windows or just over the window as the picture shows. Speaking of camp tables Ozark Trail actually includes a small table with this shelter, which mounts at the base of the main support pole to make the most of the tent’s interior space. The table includes four large hanging mesh pockets at its sides, which, along with the multiple pockets found along the walls of the Ozark Trail Yurt, make storage and organization another high point of the tent. Layout wise is virtually ozark trail canopy tent identical to the Core Instant Cabin we evaluated for our 10 person tent roundup, but delivers those same massive interior dimensions for about $100 less. Each of the cabin’s three rooms includes its own privacy divider, and each is large enough to fit a queen-sized mattress as well, so it’s a great option for large groups or families. A full rain cover, two vestibules, and an extra-sturdy pole structure make this the best choice for families who want to get outside in any weather. So, basically, there are 2 more windows up top, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in any other tent so far. The peak height at the center of this Ozark Trail tent is just 65.5 inches, which is right about the marketed peak height of 66 inches. Notice how my beds aren’t exactly the full queen size, yet they fill up the entire tent?
This Alps Cedar Ridge Rimrock 6 Tent is also very affordable and built in a different style. The biggest material difference between the Sundome and our other picks is its crunchy, tarp-like polyethylene floor. The other tents in this guide all have bathtub-style tape-seamed polyester floors, which is the standard ozark trail shower tent among high-quality tents. The Sundome’s tarp is clearly a budget material, but for what it was, we found it user-friendly. It’s easy to mop up after wet paws and spills, and it doesn’t hold moisture. It’s unlikely to be as durable, though, as the softer, stronger polyester found in our other picks.
