Walmart: Ozark Trail 12′ x 12′ Instant Canopy $45

One could, in theory, purchase a new Ozark canopy every year (which they might need to!) and still come out ahead over the years vs. purchasing a more expensive alternative. Wirecutter is the product recommendation service from The New York Times. Our journalists combine independent research with (occasionally) over-the-top testing so you can make quick and confident buying decisions. In the heart of the Ozarks’ wilderness, a passion for exploration was kindled. This space serves as an homage to that undying spirit of adventure and as a community for those inspired by Ozark Trail’s commitment to crafting reliable outdoor gear. Although the paths may run parallel, the stories of each adventurer intertwine with every trek and trail. There is a united dedication to quality, innovation, and the wild spaces treasured by many.

You can tell there is a serious seal established when you latch this shut. The Ozark Trail 45 Qt Rolling Thermocooler also comes with an internal tray, which the other two do not. The coolers in competition were the Ozark Trail 45QT Rolling Thermocooler, The Pelican 45QW Elite Wheeled Cooler, and the Yeti Tundra Haul.

The only drawbacks to this tent are that there is a weather protecting flap over the door zipper that is kept in place by an elastic band which causes the flap to pull in toward the zipper and snag occasionally. It comes loose easily enough but over time this has put lots of little holes in that flap. Offers high-quality outdoor equipment at competitive prices, making outdoor adventures accessible to all. Products are rigorously tested to withstand diverse and challenging outdoor conditions. Getting our hands dirty with the top-rated 9×9 Neso Grande lightweight beach canopy tent. I have set up several tents over my 50 plus years camping and this is the first time that I have ever purchased anything so rotten. I bought this tent last fall from Walmart and the first time I used it I loved it. Then when I was airing it out after camping I went outside to discover the main pole had snapped in half. It wasn’t breezy, so I figured it must have been a freak accident. I still had my receipt, so I returned it to Walmart and exchanged it for a new one thinking this was just an unfortunate incident. I haven’t figured out a way to get the whole tent, rain fly, poles, etc back into the original bag together—but am sure if I worked on that and really folded it correctly it could be done.

Only to have my suspicions confirmed by other reviews that this tent is not water resilliant and can barely withstand a breeze. Unfortunately, I do have puddles and moisture in the tent when it rains (not terrifically waterproof). Check out attached link and look at the slant leg pop up.

It is oddly relevant work for testing aluminum tent poles. As far as coolers go, there is not a ton of innovation that can be done to enhance the rotomolding process itself, so most companies will focus on their end product’s design to set them apart from the competition. The Yeti has the most streamlined ozark trail table design of the three coolers, staying true to the original Yeti look and feel. The overall product weight of this cooler is 37lbs empty which is inline with the Pelican, but 7lbs heavier than the Ozark Trail cooler. The Tundra Haul features rubber clasps, which I really like, and hard plastic wheels.

We don’t find that to be a noteworthy drawback as the nylon handles and shoulder strap work just fine in carrying the tent. The Ozark Trail canopy very well might be one of the best selling 10×10 tent brands of all time. The easily recognizable logo has been seen by nearly everyone at youth soccer tournaments or beach vacations in recent years. The Wawona 6’s side-walls are high and straight, but the structure stays very stable in wind thanks to a final pole that wraps around the front and sides—and thanks to the absence of any acute angles in the poles. We were skeptical about the vestibule’s ability to handle wind, since it’s big and supported by a single pole, but it stood fast in 30 mph oceanside gusts and 15 mph hilltop winds. The Wireless 6 goes up easily, using the same kind of intuitive pole and clip method as our couples’ pick.

There is a little cost savings in that design over the one that caused me to ruin my tent when the pole splintered and the appearance of the tent will be enhanced if the little black add-on at the rear is not there. While we share insights and celebrate the adventures that outdoor gear like Ozark Trail can offer, our site is independently run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Actively engages with the outdoor community to continually improve and tailor products to real-world needs. What better way to enjoy a ballgame, picnic, or any outdoor activity than with a little bit of shade!

The reviews when I bought it were 4 out of 5 stars 290 people. Didn’t get a chance to set it up before we went camping. I don’t know if it leaks because there was no rain and I only set it up in a friend’s backyard so the kids could camp out overnight. I wish I still had my receipt because I would return this poor excuse for a tent and get my money back. I will never buy another dome tent, and now I wish I would have checked the reviews before I bought this one.
